Online Payment | 12/29/2014
I'm back again needing your expert help.
For a year I have been trading on market stalls and in between I have been carrying out my own research that indicates there is a demand for my products to go online.
I am shopping around for the best online payment solution and there is a lot of information and services out there.
PayPal seems to be out of the question due to its high fees and holding payments. Payment-sense seems very appealing with its fixed monthly prices of £14.95...
home office advice | 12/29/2014
We are thinking of renting a room in our home (owned/mortgaged) to a family member to run their design business from (they are self-employed) as an office.
Can we do this? What are the legalities?
We'd obviously draw up a basic agreement and they'd pay a rental amount to us .... do we need additional insurance, approval from mortgage company, hmrc involvement, change of use approval from the council???
Any advice gratefully received
Help I need to become a "Salesman" | 12/29/2014
We had a meeting with our accountant before the xmas break. Things are doing OK but we're under orders to increase turnover, and everything else will follow. Looks like I'm become a salesman in the new year.
We've never proactively sold our business relying on referrals, generic searches on google & e-marketing our existing customers & prospects.
I know deep down the solution is to get out of my comfort zone and get some new customers. Easier said than done.
I've a list of...

packaging a product | 12/29/2014
I'm just starting out, and need some advice.
I need some boxes, for my savoury products.
At the moment, I put my product, in a greaseproof paper bag.
Which I colour code with sticky dots, by flavour, and then I put them in a box,
to transport them. But the boxes, I'm using are not appropriate, as I have to lay each product, slightly on the next product, which then slightly dents my pastry's.
What I need is some boxes made to measure, for my products, they would have to be, food safe...

Sells like hot cakes | 12/29/2014
I'm new so bare with me.
I need a some advice.
I work full time, and different shift patterns.
The food at work, was not really nice at night, and everyone was complaining.
So I decided to make some savoury products, I won't say what they are yet, but you might guess.
I made 24 mini one's, as samples, with the best quality ingredients, that money can buy, and fresh herbs. I gave them all out, 2 days later I went around, and started taking orders.
To my amazement, I was getting...

Google Maps | 12/29/2014
I want to get my web site on the top seven for Google maps (preferably positions A, B or C). I am just asking for some advice as to what type of SEO I need and roughly how much I should be paying for this? I have a Google Plus page that has a video and is fully completed - my ranking has gradually improved but has stopped between positions 21-30.
And why is it that some sites rank higher on Google maps when their Google Plus page is barely completed? There is also one that is ranked that does...
can i take legal action for loss to my business reputation/libel? | 12/29/2014
Im a small business who would like some advice on suing a client for libel/defamation, after a disagreement with a client has led to them posting and asking their family and friends to post fake reviews of my business on the internet. They are fake in the respect that none of these people have ever used my service, other than the client themselves who has insinuated something which didn't happen. They are trying to destroy the reputation of my business and i would like to take some action....

Branding unbranding copies | 12/29/2014
I was looking at ordering coats off alibaba to brand myself to sell online, but they look like nearly a copy of an existing big brands product design (except made in china unbranded),so I was wondering if it was illegal to order them, put my own logo on them (that I'm going to design) and sell online in the uk?
Understanding the sale of share process | 12/29/2014
I own 50% of the shares, (two directors/owners) in a small private company. Long story short; I have decided to leave as things aren't working out between us.
My business partner and I are currently in negotiations over what I am due. (I am not going to hand in my notice until I have what I am owed.)
Very recently, (before any agreement was made between us) I received a message from my business partner saying that he had instructed our company lawyers to begin the sale process of my shares....

CT600 for a micro-entity | 12/29/2014
I'm completing the CT600 for our limited company which qualifies as a micro-entity. I'm using HMRC's free PDF software, and I'm about to use their facility for extracting and sending the basic accounts to Companies House.
Before I do that, please can anyone let me know if I'm about to omit any required "notes to the financial statements"? The form allowed me to proceed with only the "micro-entity footnotes" option selected. I have no specific comments for these, so I left them blank....
