Julie Hamilton worked in as a Regional Buyer for Direct Buy, a privately held home improvement and consumer goods company. She founded the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures for, to generate cost reductions, and improve supplier relationships; negotiated with vendors for flooring, granite countertops, and other building products and generated @ $500,000 in cost reductions.
Julie was the Senior Purchasing/Contracts Manager for Wiseman Hughes, a privately held residential general contractor. Julie was accountable for the purchase of materials for seven development projects; managed a staff of six, and created budgets, provided buying guidance, and supported all facets of the buying process; planned, coordinated, and managed multiple building projects; structured trade partners and their manufacturers to ensure the projects met specification targets and company pricing; negotiated and awarded all trade contracts.
Julie’s education includes DirectBuy Business Management School in 2010 and the College of DuPage School of Business. She is trained in Six Sigma Green Belt; certified in ITILv3, LEED Trained, and PMP trained.
