Planning Ahead For Success | 12/27/2014
It’s the time of year we look back and start planning for the year to come. It’s not only an opportunity to celebrate our successes but to use a positive attitude to look at our failures in a favorable light. We can work out where and why we went wrong, learn from our mistakes and set up systems for improvement. Without looking at the good and bad, in a critical way, we can’t create an action plan for the future. It’s tempting for us to forge ahead with successful projects, without change, but is this sensible? Maybe we could do […] Continue Reading...

Free Christmas Facebook Images | 12/08/2014
Facebook images posts attract the most engagement so, in light of the festive season, I’ve prepared a feast of Facebook sized Christmas Greeting images for free download. Each image is 504px x 504px which fits the Facebook window nicely. They’re also a reasonable size for Pinterest, Google Plus, Instagram, and Twitter. There are three sets, each with a different message: Seasons Greetings, Merry Christmas and Happy Christmas. The images are either those I’ve created myself or adapted from free public domain images, so there’s no worries about copyright. Rather than only share images others have posted, it’s good to post […] Continue Reading...

Thinking Your Way To Success | 10/22/2014
Think positively, have the right attitude, take risks and keep on trying. These are all important qualities needed to achieve success. You read about them all the time in blog and social media posts but that’s not the aim of this article. Instead I suggest you think in a positive and practical way, to make decisions and come up with new ideas and think outside the box. Thinking positively doesn’t mean accepting everything as being wonderful. Thinking negatively about something doesn’t mean you have the wrong attitude overall. Marketers concentrate on the positive in promotions to encourage us to buy […] Continue Reading...

Marketing Tips That Don’t Work | 10/07/2014
As bloggers and online marketers we all learn about the “should dos” to become successful and/or reach financial freedom but what about marketing tips that don’t work for you. We are told: Be organized, stick to schedules, set your goals, work long and hard, move out of our comfort zones …. Buy this and automate that, join and post to multiple social media sites, join forums and communities, build an email list, optimize for search engines, watch this video, attend this webinar…. Do things this way not that, blog at least once, twice, three times a week, keep your posts […] Continue Reading...

Sueblimely Succinctly Summarizing | 09/26/2014
I haven’t yet finished the new theme design for sueblimely.com but it was time to make some changes. I want to point them out to make you aware of what’s new, especially the bits intended to increase my income. Now I’ve probably put you off looking but at least I’m being honest. I’ve decided to go with the Genesis framework for my new design but, as usual, I haven’t found an “out of the box” child theme that suits me. So I’m building one from scratch. If anyone is interested, I’ll talk about why I chose Genesis in a […] Continue Reading...
